1989–2006 IBM Staff Software Engineer · In seventeen years, held a variety of duties and developed numerous solutions for product improvement on IBM software applications and hardware. · iSeries Navigator is a software package that enables client computers to interact with the IBM iSeries computer. For years the IBM Corporation touted iSeries Navigator as “the [inter]face of the iSeries”. Maintained and helped to maintain 1 million lines of Java code for the iSeries Navigator. Including adding new interfaces for Java to call into C++ code (JNI) to do processing in the legacy framework. I owned and maintained over 1 million lines of the C/C++ infrastructure including calls from C++ back into Java. Led core team of four developers in significant quality improvement redesign. 1999-2006 · Build expertise developed in both Java and Windows while being responsible for build activities. 2002-2006. ·

Developed tools to enable pseudo NLS (National Language Support) testing for Java client code. Worked in C, C++, Java and JNI (the bridge between C and Java). Embedded JVM (Java Virtual Machine) into the C/C++ code base.
